2010 F1 Entry List breaks cover!

NEW DELHI: The FIA is out with the much-awaited entry list for the 2010 Formula 1 season and it has a few surprises in store. The 2009 season hasn't even crossed the half-way mark and yet controversies for the 2010 season have blown beyond anything in the recent past.
The proposed budget caps that may start from next year on were major cause for concern to the Formula One Teams Association and guess what - that hasn't changed.
All the FOTA teams had put in their entry for the 2010 season with the condition that the budget caps be removed, but despite there being no concrete ruling on the matter the FIA has declared an entry list of 13 teams which has 'automatically' included the 8 FOTA teams as well as Williams F1 and Force India F1.
Three new teams make it to the entry list as well - all using Cosworth customer engines. US F1 was bound to make it to the 2010 entry list but what came in as a huge surprise was the inclusion of Campos and Manor - instead of big names like Lola and Prodrive.
Cosworth is no stranger to F1 - the engine supplier has won 176 Grands Prix between 1967 and 2007. With the inclusion of three new teams the current 20-car grid is set to become a 26-car one if the provisional entry list becomes final.
However McLaren, BMW, Renault, Toyota and Brawn's fate on next season's grid is subject to discussions on certain conditions that the teams have to lift before June 19.
Ferrari in the meantime has stated that it would legally challenge its automatic inclusion in the entry list. With some of the biggest teams on the 09 grid still speculative of their 2010 participation, potential inclusion of some other teams vying for an F1 slot cannot be overruled.
For now, the following is the provisional entry list for 2010:
